Annie Terry Tebeau Calhoun was born March 30, 1926.
She attended school at Effingham Academy in Springfield and played basketball on the high school team.
She married Kenny Tebeau in 1944. They had three children, Mary Ruth, Charlotte and Kenny. Annie loved her sports.
She was a member of a ladies baseball team
in the mid 1950's. Annie helped with the little league baseball in Springfield in the late 1950's and 1960’s before there was a county recreation league.
She was an aide at Springfield Elementary and gave a lot of help to the Special Olympics. She drove the bus for the high school athletic teams and was always willing and ready to help in any way that she could. She supported all the high school athletic teams.
She was very active in her church and played softball for years on the church team as a pitcher until she had grandchildren. She had six grandchildren that also played sports with the Effingham County Recreation and Parks that she supported. Had she been alive today, she would also have 14 great grand children and all that are old enough are very active in sports.
