Basketball            - 1975 Jr. Varsity (12-0 season); 1976 Girls Varsity;

1977 Girls Varsity and All Tournament Team; 1978 Girls Varsity

(19-2 season), Co-MVP Offense

Lettered – 1976, 1977 & 1978

 

Tennis  - 1st place in Region 2AA Girls Singles 1975, 1976, 1977 & 1978

1977 & 1978 – MVP award

1978 – 3rd place in State

During 4 years of tennis competition never lost a set in regional play.

Softball - 1977 Shortstop – Effingham’s first Region 2AA Softball;

1978 Shortstop – Region 2AA Champs

1976-77 “Who’s Who Among American High School Students”

Attended Georgia Southern College

Participated in Effingham County Sports for 21 years. (9166-1987).

These included Girls Softball, Co-ed Softball and Volleyball.

 

1979-87 Thompson’s Sporting Goods Tournament Team, where she received the MVP award in 1984 and 1987.  And played on the State Championship team in 1985.  Also, selected twice to Charleston’s All Tournament Team.

 

Jennie has one son, Christopher, who was born in 1986.  In 1988 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and has been disabled since 1992.  She lives in Springfield with her mother and stepfather.
