THAD O. BUTLER

2003 Effingham County Sports Hall of Fame Inductee

Thad O. Butler is married to Mary C. Butler. He is the son of the late Ross and Alma Butler. Thad played baseball, basketball and ran track in school. He played baseball and coached from 1950-1970. He has 4 children, 13 grand children and 4 great grandchildren. Operated logging business for 36 years. He worked at church, helped neighbors and was a Deacon at Pineora Baptist Church from 1971 and retired as active Deacon in 1998.
